This is a process in which the outer layers of skin are removed by bombarding the skin with a controlled stream of salt crystals. It is rather like sandblasting for the face and acts by peeling the outer epidermal layers of skin away and providing a very vigorous method of exfoliation. After treatment the skin is slightly red temporarily but ultimately smoother, tighter and softer. It works on fine wrinkles and may be combined with other treatments ,such as dermaphoresis, in which skin nutrients are deeply massaged into the skin using an ultrasound probe to give an extremely refreshing facial.

Redness may persist for several days but gradually the redness fades leaving tighter more refreshed skin with a healthy glow.
